QR Code Generator
Free, never expires, no account needed. Optional logo in the middle.
Type a link or some text to generate a code.
How it works
The QR code is drawn in your browser from the text you type: nothing is sent anywhere, so your codes never expire and no third party can track scans. Scanners read the code back into the exact text you entered, so a URL opens directly in the camera app of any modern phone. Adding a logo reserves a cleared zone in the middle of the pattern and automatically switches error correction to High, so the code still scans with up to 30% of it covered.
FAQ
Do QR codes from free generators expire?
Ones made here never do. Many “free” generators encode a redirect link to their own server, which lets them log every scan, charge you later, or switch off the code unless you pay. A QR code made on this page contains your text directly; it scans straight to the destination you typed and works forever, offline.
Are the codes I generate stored or tracked?
No. This is a static page: the QR pattern is computed locally and never leaves your device. There is no account, no scan analytics, no upsell.
Which error-correction level should I choose?
Medium is right for most uses (websites, tickets, menus). Choose High when the code might get partially covered or damaged (on product packaging, stickers or posters), since up to 30% of the pattern can be unreadable and it still scans. High makes the pattern denser, so it’s slightly harder to scan on small screens. A center logo always switches the code to High automatically.
How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
Choose “Wi-Fi network”, enter the network name and password, and the code carries the full connection details. When someone scans it with a phone camera, the device offers to join that network immediately, no more spelling out passwords. It works with WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP and open networks, and is ideal for guest networks at home, cafés or offices.
What is a contact card (vCard) QR code?
A vCard QR carries your contact details in a standard format. Scanning it with a phone offers one-tap “add to contacts” with your name, phone, email and organization already filled in, a paper-friendly replacement for typing your details at the end of a meeting.
Do QR codes cost money to use?
QR Code itself is a registered trademark of Denso Wave, but using it for standard purposes is free; they explicitly do not charge licensing fees for QR codes that follow the open standard.
